Youth Alive is a student led club in which MHS students get the chance to discuss bible verses read during the meeting.
Junior Anya Sheppard said “We have prepared for this year by first finding our leaders which can be anyone and we’re always accepting new leaders. We have planned out what we’re gonna change this year and what we liked from last year so that we can have the best meetings we can,” she also added: “In past years the preparation has definitely helped because it has shown us what we should keep doing and what we should change. When this club first started, we did it in a more devotional style, where we just read stories from other people that were connected to God, but we realized it would be more impactful to read straight out of the Bible. This has been a lot more beneficial and has grown us a lot more.”
Senior Taylor Mabry has “high expectations for this year” and explained that “we have a fantastic leadership team and can’t wait to see what we accomplish. It’s a little hard to get things going with homecoming taking charge right off the bat but I’m confident that there are exciting things coming this fall and the rest of the school year!”
Anya Sheppard said hopefully “I am really looking forward to seeing God work in all the people who come and to see how God will grow me through leadership this year!”
