A memorable 2026 Grammys

For the past sixty-seven years, the Grammys have always been a memorable event held during the month of February. Musical artists from every genre of music come together to celebrate and be awarded for albums and singles. A Grammy award is a significant accomplishment for any artist who is presented one.

Every Grammys event has left consistent fans in shock. Iconic moments have been disappointing and full of excitement, and typically fans are almost always satisfied. Freshman Joslyn Carr stated, “I was pretty happy with the results. I think all of the nominees were deserving of winning, but I was pleased with who ended up winning; however, there were some I wasn’t sure about.”

Bravery and honesty have been a few constant characteristics shown throughout the events over the years. Celebrities have used their fame to express their opinions on worldwide issues, strikes, and some have even denied a Grammy award due to political issues that were occurring at the time. Carr goes on to say, “This year, the Grammys stood out a little more because of how many celebrities were brave enough to speak up against certain things happening. I think that was really empowering for people watching, including myself.”

As more years come, it gives newer artists a chance to be seen and heard. More opportunities are available to radiate artists who haven’t gotten a Grammy award as well. Freshman Cecelia Anderson stated, “I loved it this year, there were a ton of new performers that really got their chance to shine and I’m a fan of nearly everyone who got an award.”

The Grammys have entirely shaped the music industry and brought modern artists into the light to get the credit and award they deserve. Time and time again, the Grammys truly never disappoint and it’s always a treat for fans of artists who attend the event.
