Loyal Stranger Things fans have waited three years to get their hearts ripped from their chest on the three most important holidays of the year. The countdown to the finish line of an immaculate “never-ending story” has officially started.
The nerves are high for anyone who’s spent the last nine years consuming their life with the famous Netflix TV show, Stranger Things. After watching the first volume, which consists of four episodes, some fans were distraught and others were ready for the second volume. Junior Brenley Taber stated, “I’m so excited, but so impatient. I feel a little nervous about what’s going to happen next, but I am overwhelmed with excitement.”
As of right now, Stranger Things is rated the number one trending TV show on Netflix; currently season five has an insane fifty-nine million views within the first five days of access. Social media has been filled with spoilers and theories depicting what the Duffer Brothers have in store for their fans. But, with spoilers and theories also comes fears. Junior Ali Weidner stated, “My biggest fear is any of my favorite characters dying. I’ve loved Lucas and Dustin since the first season and I would be devastated if they didn’t make it. I also would be sad if Will didn’t make it because of how much he’s been through. My guess is that he might be the only way to seal off the upside down for good, and therefore he might have to sacrifice himself.”
This intricate series has many genres that follow it. From the horror component to action and sci-fi, the cross-generational series has been a favorite to all ages. Weidner went on to say, “My whole family is fans of the show, so we’ve all agreed to watch it on Christmas because we don’t want to risk getting it spoiled. I’m really excited to see what’s coming, but also nervous because I know it’s going to be a rough journey for the characters and there are no guarantees they’ll all live.”
Gen Z was never able to experience the vibrant eighties and what aspects followed that. To this day, trends from the eighties come and go. But one thing that is unbeatable about Stranger Things is how perfectly accurate the music and fashion was to the decade. The Duffer Brothers have curated this nostalgic feeling of a want and need from many teenagers who desire to live during this time period; that is what truly makes Stranger Things so outstanding.
Devoted fans are beyond ready for the epic finale that comes on New Year’s Eve. AMC Theaters are showing the final episode for fans who are ready to end this series with a final celebration, willing to shed tears as the screen goes black completing the phenomenal Stranger Things series.
