Senior year marks the end of one chapter and beginning of another, and the MHS senior class is celebrating every moment along the way.
Senior Maddie Bonds provided a look into her senior activities so far, saying, “I went to senior sunrise at the beginning of the year, and we had breakfast pizza and drinks, which were really good! We all signed a poster, took so many pictures, and sat on the soccer field with blankets and pajamas. It was so nice to sit with our whole class and celebrate our final year of high school together!”
Regarding her most anticipated senior year tradition, she stated, “I’m really looking forward to our senior prank this year. I think it’s going to be fun, and I’m excited to help come up with ideas and set it up!”
She also noted, “I think it would be cool if the seniors had a ‘last trip’ of some sort where we went to Chicago or St. Louis as a class and did something fun together at the end of the school year!”
Senior Jake Robinson talked about his own senior year so far, “[My] favorite senior activity is football because of all of my friends playing it.”
When asked if he was sad about a specific event ending during his senior year, he mentioned “football being over after senior year because of all the hours of dedication.”
He also stated that if he could create a new tradition for senior year, he would plan a seniors vs alumni basketball game.
All of these senior activities and traditions have created and will continue to create lasting memories for the whole senior class as they slowly inch towards their graduation date.
