The senior class is preparing for their final day of high school. The final day for the senior class is always one of the best days of the school year because it’s carnival day.

The seniors like to enjoy their final day by going all out on carnival day. “I’m looking forward to spending one of the last days with my buddies and to squeeze the last bit out of what high school has to offer,” said senior Eli Craft.

Most students enjoy their final day by playing games and hanging with friends. “I am really looking forward to spending my last day of school with all of my friends. There are always really fun games going on and everyone has a good time. I ran part of carnival day last year, so knowing that I don’t have to work at all this year is really nice,” said senior Alice Swanson.

While there is a lot to be excited about on carnival day, knowing you’re graduating can also be a little sad. “I’m gonna miss the people the most. I was fortunate to have been surrounded by a great group of people throughout my time in highschool,” shared Craft.

Other students miss all the sporting events and activities that come with high school. “I will miss all of the big school events like homecoming week and prom. Volleyball and football season is always really fun and exciting for me,” stated Swanson.

Seniors like to give some advice to underclassmen and share what they have learned in their time at high school with them. “Be true to yourself. It’s easy, especially in high school, to live for other people, but when you stay true to yourself you’ll live a much more fulfilling life than one in which you don’t,” shared Craft.

Other students like to share how high school has helped prepare them for life beyond high school. “I feel like I have been well prepared for college throughout high school. I have learned how to study well and work hard in all of my classes,” shared Swanson.

Carnival day is a day filled with joy and sadness. Knowing all of the seniors’ hard work has finally paid off, but also knowing your time in high school has ended. However, students will be able to take the memories they made with their friends with them and make more memories at their final carnival day.
