Stage Show 2025 is coming in hot this year. With only two short weeks of rehearsal time, it’s time for the MHS thespians to shine. For the first time, Mrs.Allender opened up stage show auditions to being school wide instead of only within the Band, Choir, and Thespians like it has traditionally been. Stage show is the school’s talent show that happens every year in May. It encompasses singing, dancing, skits, instrumental playing, senior recognition, and more.
The MHS students have been hard at work to bring this show together in a short period of time. Not only are there the people in the performances, but also the stage crew, sound crew, and light crew. When they say it takes a village…they mean it!
Stage Show is also a way for people to step out of their comfort zone. Senior Tyler Olsen shared, “Not everyone gets to show off their own unique talent through the thespians productions or the band and choir concerts, so this is an opportunity for people to get themselves out there and do something that can show off their skills”.
When asked what she could tell us about her acts, Sophomore Egan Curry said, “Both acts I’m doing give me opportunities to step out of my musical comfort zone. One act allows me to perform on the piano, and the other one has given me an opportunity to perform a song I arranged.” What can get more exciting than that?
An old tradition being brought back to life this year is the Senior Dance Line. This fun and exciting cheorography has happened for countless years and always occurred as the last act. Unfortunately, the tradition died after the class of 2022, but it is back! Seniors Maya Cremeens and Tatum Wichus believed it was time. When asked about her feelings on it, Wichus shared “It’s exciting but nerve wracking at the same time. Since we haven’t really seen a typical senior dance line it is like we are starting from scratch. I’m super excited about bringing together a great group of seniors to celebrate our last stage show!”
You heard it here first! Get a babysitter, have someone cover your shift, and clear your calendars this Friday and Saturday to see the phenomenal MHS Stage Show 2025 for a night filled with talent brought to you by many students in the school.
The show will take place May 9th and 10th at 7PM in the MHS auditorium. It will only cost $5 at the door to get in.
