As prom night approaches at MHS, students are buzzing with excitement and anticipation. We caught up with a few students to get the inside scoop on their preparations and plans for the big night. Prom will be held at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Champaign, and post-prom will be held at our new venue Kleen Movement/Pregame, as opposed to the previous years when post-prom is held at the high school.
Junior Shane Carr, shared that he got his prom outfit from M2 in Champaign, and will be wearing grey. Despite the usual stress that comes along with prom planning, Shane stated that he is not stressed about it. Sophomore Dacey Kooi added, “No it doesn’t [stress him out] cause he doesn’t do any of it”.
Junior Kiara Grace has been feeling the pressure of planning. She’s worried she won’t have enough time to get everything planned, but she is still looking forward to the night. Kiara found her royal blue outfit on an online store.
Junior Lauren Albrecht got her gorgeous red dress from Amazon. She stated that she feels the stress of planning prom because she is worried people will not like the plans that she makes. Despite the stress, Lauren is excited about the new post-prom location, especially since she works there and knows it will be a great venue for the students to hang out after the dance.
As you can see, the students at MHS are buzzing with excitement and anticipation for prom night. From picking out the outfits to planning out the details. The shared experiences and memories created during this special night will be cherished for years. As they dance the night away and enjoy the post-prom festivities, the students are sure to have an unforgettable time celebrating the night.
