As the weekend approaches, MHS students are getting ready to enjoy a well-deserved break filled with family traditions, fun outings, and a touch of springtime relaxation. While the school year can be filled with academic pressures, extracurricular activities, and social obligations, holidays like Easter offer a chance to slow down and reconnect at home.

For many students, Easter is all about spending quality time with family. Senior Hannah Evans says that her family hosts an Easter lunch together. Evans said, “My favorite part about Easter is lowkey the lunch.” As spring continues to bloom, the holiday offers a chance to pause, celebrate, and recharge before the final stretch of the school year begins.

Some students are planning to attend religious services, while others plan to participate in Easter traditions. Evans stated, “My family always does an Easter egg hunt at my grandma’s house. We dye eggs, go to church, and eat dinner.” Whether students are dressing up for church, spending time with loved ones, or simply enjoying a break from school, MHS students are making the most of their Easter weekend.

Some students will also be helping out with family responsibilities. These tasks not only bring everyone closer, but also help students feel more involved in family life. Sophomore Kali Griffith said, “We go to my grandma’s house and have an Easter egg hunt and I get to help my little cousins.”
