Cast members from the musical “May We All” perform in rehearsals

The cast and crew of May We All have been working hard to bring this year’s musical to life, and it’s almost time for audiences to see it all come together! With well-known country songs, exciting dance numbers, and an emotional story, this show has something for everyone.

Senior Cal Knittle, who plays Joe, shared that the rehearsal process has been a challenge, especially with the long practices. “Even though it’s necessary to learn everything, after a long week of rehearsals, it gets pretty stressful to repeat dances and songs so many times,” he said. But despite the hard work, he’s really enjoying his role. “Joe is Liz’s boyfriend, so I get to bring some comedic relief to the show. There are also some really emotional moments between Joe and Liz. My favorite part is just having fun on stage and working on songs together.”

For Maya Cremeens, who plays Jenna Coates, the biggest challenge has been staying healthy. “This show has been one of the easier productions I’ve been in, but I’ve been sick for almost half of the rehearsals. Now I’m sick during tech week too, which has been really stressful,” she shared. Still, she loves playing Jenna. “She has a lot of conflict in her life, but she also gets to repair relationships. It’s really special to be part of a show that focuses on forgiveness and growth.”

Both actors encourage everyone to come see May We All. “It’s just a fun time,” Knittle said. “Even if you don’t like country music, you’ll know at least one song, and the acting and dancing are so good this year that it’ll be a great watch.” Cremeens added, “A lot of people will connect with this story more than they think. It’s about a small-town girl who wants something bigger for herself, and I think a lot of us can relate to that.”

With opening night just around the corner (March 6th at 7pm), May We All is sure to be a show you won’t want to miss!
