Santa Samba recap

On December 7, the NHS class of 2025 provided a winter dance to help fundraise for those in need. Many students were unsure how the event would turn out due to never having a winter dance at MHS before, along with the uncertainty of the casual dress code.

Senior Bella Dunlap shared her excitement about the dance. She exclaimed, “I’m excited to see how it turns out. It’s a new thing this year and the National Honor Society seems to be putting in a lot of work so I am looking forward to it.” Dunlap further explained that she was also looking forward to getting a new experience her senior year, while also hoping they continue this new tradition for future years to come. When asked about her experience after the dance, Dunlap exclaimed her content. She mentioned that it was definitely smaller than a normal school dance but the vibes from those that went were great.

Though many students were skeptical of the new event, senior Kross Reynolds had nothing negative to say in the end. Reynolds stated that his opinions about the dance did not really change in terms of the dance itself. He then added, “…but my opinions changed on my date. She got prettier by the second and IT WAS AWESOME.” Reynolds stated that he enjoyed the Santa Samba overall and had a great time!
