Senior Connor Kuntz is a dedicated athlete gearing up for his first-ever tryout with the high school baseball team this spring. With hard work and determination, he’s been training hard in the off season with a goal in mind, and he’s ready to step up to the plate.

Kuntz said, “I am trying to go to PreGame everyday to either hit, throw, or workout. I am also trying to workout at home and strengthen my muscle groups that I have fallen behind in compared to the other baseball guys.”

Kuntz believes that if he is unable to receive a real spot on the team, he will make a valuable team manager. Kuntz said, “I have already talked to Coach Jones about the manager position and to my knowledge I have it locked up, so missing an actual roster spot won’t be too detrimental.”

Kuntz has been dedicating lots of time towards getting better, especially with fellow baseball players at MHS. Senior Eli Craft said, “Connor and I have been doing a throwing program throughout this offseason and we are seeing great improvement on his behalf.” With winter sports already beginning, spring season will be here shortly, and we will get to see how Kuntz’s baseball journey will turn out.
