The LifeSavers Club has recently appointed four new senior leaders for the upcoming 24-25 school year. Cody Ball, Tatum Wichus, Brody Billedo, and Caleb Wood put together a speech and got the most votes at the first meeting on August 21.
Senior Caleb Wood said, “I’m super ecstatic. I was really hopeful to get this. I’ve been in the [LifeSavers] for four years, and I hope I can be a good role model and leader for upcoming students and members of the club.”
Wood believes that LifeSavers is a valuable club, saying, “Lifesavers is important to me because I feel like it is a very unique club in the school. I feel like the mission it serves is very important not just to our school, but to society in general. I think mental health is extremely undervalued, so it is very important to me that we bring light to this. Everybody struggles, and I know I can make a difference with this club.”
Senior leaders are also expected to attend the annual LifeSavers new member retreat at Allerton mansion in November. Senior Tatum Wichus said, “I am most excited to be going on the LifeSavers retreat with the new members because the retreat is one of my favorite memories of being in high school…it changed my views of a lot of things, and I really enjoyed it.”
