With the Monticello football season already started, the school wants to know how far the team will go now that they’ve expanded.

Captain Ike Young said, “I think we will definitely make it past the first round… overall, I think our team is better, we have more skill, our size is better, and we are better mentally and physically then last year.”
Captain Matthew Swartz shared, “The sophomores have stepped up a lot.” As Young said, “We have a lot of sophomores stepping up this year, there are a couple juniors that play a crucial role, but sophomores will play a crucial role in the offensive perspective.”
During this year of MHS football, Swartz and Young have devoted themselves to growing the team and helping them work better. Captain Ike Young said, “We have more underclassmen who are able to step up…I feel we are just better overall.”
