Mr. Strippens’ creative concept class has been working hard in creating pieces that aren’t ordinary at all. Some of the pieces contain glass, paint, building, and more. Lots of these projects come from the pure creativity of the students’ minds, and it shows through their artwork work.
“My favorite project has been the glass one, I guess, because, even though it’ll be the most difficult, it has the most creative freedom out of all the ones we’ve done so far. In the end, I think it’ll be a piece of art that I will be able to display in my house for a while,” said senior Kayden Hogan.
Senior Marissa Miller added, “My favorite project so far has been the glass mosaic for sure. It is going to take time, but I’m sure it will be a great gift for my family and friends.”
Of course there are always struggles that go along with creating a piece that contains all elements of creating something amazing.
Kayden Hogan mentioned how she is a perfectionist, and sometimes it is hard for her to appreciate her work. She said, “But the class isn’t about being good at art, it’s just a way to express yourself with fun little arts and craft type projects that end up looking really cool in the end. I would definitely recommend this class to other people because it is very laid back, and you really just have the creative liberty to make whatever you want. Mr. Stripens is a fun teacher and is very helpful and supportive of any number of crazy ideas you come up with that you want to turn into a project.”
