MHS’s Ag Business class is known for creating a class business each year. This year, the class is launching a coffee delivery business on Wednesday, November 15, which the staff and student body will frequently use for their morning drinks.

Every other week, the Ag Business class will send out an email with an attached order form with Monticello’s 3R^2 coffee shop’s drink menu. Then the class collects the money and submits the orders to 3R^2. For each order, the class charges a one dollar delivery fee, which goes to support the Ag classes and FFA. In addition, the class business brings more sales to Monticello’s local coffee shop.

Senior Emma Hillard, who played a large role in creating the business, said, “I’m confident our business will be successful since it’s making getting coffee in the mornings more convenient for students and teachers, and it will also bring lots of money to FFA and to 3R^2.”

The drink pickup will be located in Mrs. Rost’s classroom before first hour. This way, it doesn’t disrupt first hour’s class-time, and students and teachers will have plenty of time to get their drink. Those who purchase are also required to pay at least two days previous to the designated pickup day, making it a stress-free morning for people who order.

This new business has generated lots of positive reactions from students. Senior Tynley Jackson added, “I’m excited for this business because it makes it really convenient to get a fun drink on school mornings. It gives me something fun to look forward to.”
