Sages football won at home against PBL on October 7, earning their fifth win of the year and guaranteeing them a spot in the playoffs.
“The key to tonight’s game was coming out with a lot of energy and getting on them from the get go. We knew we were gonna need to come out with a lot of energy and grit and we did exactly that on both sides of the ball tonight,” stated sophomore Carter Foran.
Junior wide receiver Raiden Colbert agreed with Foran’s comments about the game, saying,“The biggest key for our victory was our togetherness and how we knew how important this game was. It decided if we would go to the playoffs.”
The Sages put up a hard fight and were rewarded with a win of 41-26.
“We had a really good team chemistry tonight and that played a huge role in our victory. I couldn’t be more proud of my teammates tonight. We have prepared so hard for this and seeing everyone give it their all is just amazing,” Colbert said.
“Our offense was phenomenal and we put everything together tonight finally. From the playcalling to the execution it was a great performance,” Foran added.
With two games left in the regular season, the Sages are now finding their stride on a winning streak of three. The Sages hope to ride their hot streak and make a deep run in the playoffs.
“I think if we keep up this momentum and energy we are a very strong team and it will be hard for anyone to beat us,” Foran said.
